Acrasia

Eau de Parfum

Acrasia is inspired by the Early Modern poet Edmund Spencer and his epic work ‘The Faerie Queene’, dedicated to Elizabeth I. This poem is considered to be a wildly complex allegory: everything within the work is a symbol, and the character of Acrasia – a sorceress residing in an bewitched ‘bower’ – represents temptation, transformation and ultimately destruction.
